53 Ethiopian Christians arrested in Saudi Arabia
The Religious Liberty Commission of the World Evangelical Alliance reports that 53 Ethiopian Christians were arrested by Saudi authorities earlier in the month.
The arrests happened during a worship service in the privately rented home of an Ethiopian believer in Dammam, the capital of the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
In total, 46 women and six men were arrested. The group included three church leaders.
The RLC said it was likely that those without residential permits would be deported.
There are tight restrictions on religious practice in Saudi Arabia, with religious freedom withheld even from visitors and expats.
Godfrey Yogarajah, executive director of the RLC, said: “Arrest of believers for peacefully gathering for worship goes against the spirit of Saudi Arabia’s promotion of inter-religious dialogue in international fora.”

The world would be better off without Muslim. They never sleep to kill or torture people especially when they are the deciders. Really shame on the people or leaders who portray Islam as “Religion of Peace”, Nah it is not. The Arab-Muslim countries hate the Ethiopian Christians more than any other people in the world. They have tried many times to convert the Ethiopian Christians to Islam by force.
In 1528-1560, a Muslim leader by the name Gragn Ahmed with the help of the Turkish army waged a bloody war with the Ethiopian Christians. He destroyed and burned down hundreds of Christian Churches and killed millions of Ethiopian Christians. The Muslims in Ethiopia joined him and helped him by showing him the locations of some of the famous and historical Churches, and he burned them down to the ground. He almost won the war, but fortunately Ethiopia got help from Portugal, and Gragn Ahmed was defeated and killed.
In 1875, Emperor Yohannes IV defeated the Egyptian army at Gundat, Ethiopia, when Egypt was trying to invade Ethiopia. Again the Egyptian came back with great army to fight the Ethiopians, but Emperor Yohannes IV defeated them again at Gura, Ethiopia, in 1876, and the Egyptians never forget their defeat in Ethiopia until now. Finally, Emperor Yohannes IV was killed at Metema in Sudan fighting the Egyptian Mahdists in 1889.
Right now, the Saudis are condemning the Ethiopian government for trying to build a grand dam on the Nile River. The Saudis are encouraging Egypt and Sudan to stop Ethiopia from building the dam. The Saudis are sending hundreds of Wahhabis to Ethiopia and inciting the Muslims in Ethiopia to overthrow the Ethiopian Christian government and establish a Muslim state in the Christian land of Ethiopia.
Emboldened and financed by the Saudis, the Ethiopian Muslims have been protesting every Friday for over a year now, and they are demanding more religious rights, more power, More Mosques, and more Islamic colleges. One of their demands is to build a grand Mosque in the Holy City of Axum, but the Axumite Christians have refused to allow them to build a Mosque in Axum.
The Saudis have been sending Islamist terrorists to Ogaden and preventing Ethiopia from drilling oil from that region that belongs to Ethiopia.
Sooner or later, Ethiopia is going to fall into the Muslim hands unless the Christian world helps her. After Obama paid homage by bowing to the Saudi king, the Saudis are flexing their muscles on the Ethiopian citizens. The policy of the Saudis is “Kill the Ethiopian Christians wherever you find them.” America is not helping us; we may ask our old friend the Portuguese to help us.
When the prophet Muhammad sent some of his followers to Ethiopia because they were being persecuted by the citizens of Mecca for accepting Islam, the Ethiopian Christian king accepted them on a humanitarian basis. They were about 21 Muslims when they came first to the Christian land of Ethiopia. They are now over 35 millions and they know they have the number and the financial help from the Saudi government.
Ethiopia, an island of Christianity, is no more a Christian country: she is in great danger, and she is fighting for her survival.

Saudi Arabia is a filth hole that promotes the most backward form of Islam to the world. It funds huge mosque building programmes that cause mayhem in the West.
Double standards. In the Saudi mindset its OK to fund Mosques in Christian countries but not even a cross or bible can come into Saudi.
How I would love to drive a huge herd of pigs into Saudi and brighten up their palaces and mosques for them.
Hypocrisy’ name is Islam. Saudi Arabia finances mega-Masjid building and terrorism in Kuffar countries worldwide. Yet Saudi Arabia allows none but Islam by their own laws inside Saudi Arabia.
Islamic intolerance must not be tolerated!
