A Salafi is a follower of an Islamic movement that believe in a literal reading of the Koran and maintaining a lifestyle that replicates early Islam in the days of Mohammed. It is in effect a draconian ideology seeking to retard society back to the 7th century. The word “Salafi” is an Arabic noun which translates to “predecessor”, or “forefather” and collectively referred to as the “Salafi- a-Saaleh”, or Pious Predecessors, namely the first three Muslim generations.

Hussein was furious and immediately led an army against Yazid but, Hussein was hopelessly outnumbered, he and his men were slaughtered at the Battle of Karbala (in modern day Iraq).
Hussein’s infant son, Ali, survived so the line continued. Yazid formed the hereditary Ummayad dynasty. The division between the Shia and what came to be known as the Sunni was now set in concrete for eternity.

The ideal Islamic state is what Prophet Muhammad had founded in Media, in which Muhammad was the supreme dictator: the head of administration, chief of army and the head of judiciary. So, there lies a strong propensity for the government of an Islamic state to become dictatorial, rather than democratic. As a result, most Islamic states in the world are dictatorial as we witness today. To achieve real freedom and democracy, Islam must be thrown into dustbin of history.

She must be knowing that Islam is a creed of intense hate and it divides the entire humanity into two separate camps. Those who believe in Allah’s Koran and Prophet Hood of Muhammad, are called Muslims or Momens and those who do not belong to the kafir camp, without any grey area. It was nothing short of embarrassing to watch Bill Maher talking to Rep Keith Ellison about verses in the Koran. Clearly, poor Bill knew nothing of the Koran, Hadith or the two gems known as ‘abrogation’ and ‘taqiyya’. I saw a similar interview between Pamela Geller and an Imam and, lo and behold, the Imam and Ellison used the same abrogated verse.
