The reason why I am writing to you is that I am having a really tough time getting my wife and my mother out of Islam. My mother just refuses to hear anything against Muhammad. I even tried to show the hadiths from Bukhrai and Muslim, but she still tries to find some sort of moral justification for the criminal deeds of Muhammad.
My wife is a different case altogether. She is highly educated and has by now, after reading your book, realised that Muhammad was a fake prophet and not a man of God. However, her problem is more cultural than religious. She feels that if she stops being a Muslim, our child would have no identity and no community to fall back upon. Besides, we are living in an extremely religious atmosphere and I belong to a community where the vast majority of people are extremely fanatical Muslims.
Hence she also fears for our lives and the outcome of leaving Islam.
My community is watchful of the activities of others and incase we don't pray or fast, people tend to notice and try to create problems for others. Not long ago a man who was a Muslim convert to Christianity was publically beheaded. This happened even after his conversion was a secret.
To tell you the truth, I know that in my district alone, at least 10-15 thousand Muslims are secret converts to Christianity, but their lives are in grave danger.
It is this danger for our lives that makes us continue following Islam and behave as though we are still Muslims.
Please show me a way forward.

Leave your mother and wife alone. They are not going to pose any threat to anyone. They are good people and what they believe or don’t believe is not going to affect anyone. Your mother is your mother. Your duty is to be her son and not her spiritual guru.
Your wife is also right. Children need identity and religion provides that. I frequented a Mennonite church for a year after becoming disillusioned with Islam. Then I found the Uniersalist Unitarian Church. But by then I did not feel any need for a community. I am a lone wolf by nature. Most people need a community. You live in a country where there are not many churches and going to one poses a threat to your life. So you do not have the same luxury.
Do not try to impose your views on your wife. If she thinks your kids need to have a sense of belonging and Islam is the only community available let her have her way. You will have your say when your children grow and you can and make them see the truth. You should be also careful as children are not careful enough and they may say things that could put their and your life in danger. A little bit of Islamic poisoning does not kill anyone. We all got it and we survived and eventually recovered. Your children are not going to fall into the trap of the extremists because you and your wife will know where to draw the line. Tell them the mullahs are liars and that they should love everyone. This is safe to say. Once they are older, you can tell them that Muhammad was also a liar.
There is no harm in going to mosques and pretending to be a Muslim. I strongly recommend all those who live in dangerous Islamic countries to not make any public or private announcements about their religious views. Some apostates go overboard and after leaving Islam try to convince their friends and relatives that Islam is false. This is a dangerous game and I am very worried for the safety of these people. You should not trust even your brother. I do not want anyone to be hurt. Please act wisely. You are responsible for your life. Our victory will come and I want to celebrate it with everyone, particularly those who hated us once. Many of them are now 'us.' It's amazing how truth transforms hearts!
You say there are more than 10 to 15 thousand people who are closet Christians in your area. These closet Christians, along with closet Hindus, closet Buddhists and closet atheists, must remain in their closets and grow in number. The most important thing is that they remain safe. Our cause does not require blood and martyrs. We do not glorify death. We celebrate life. We do not want to kill anyone nor do we want to die. It is our duty to protect our lives. As dead people we cannot help our cause. We can be a beacon to others only if we are alive.
You don’t have to teach your family, friends and community. You help people in other countries half a world away from you. Let someone from half a world away reach out to yours.
The fall of Islam will be sudden. For a few decades we will educate the masses and will try to reach to millions, inconspicuously and silently. On the surface nothing seems to change, but Islam is being chiseled away from the foundation.
As long as we are living under the threat, we must keep a low key. Eventually we will reach a critical mass. At that time everyone will come out of the closet and suddenly the believers will find themselves in minority. This will shock them so much that they too will start vacillating in their faith and the end of Islam will be sealed. This is not going to happen in a hundred years. This is going to happen very soon. You and I may live long enough to see it.
When a farmer sows the seeds, nothing happens for a long time. But he does not despair and does not try to hasten things. In fact he knows that if the seeds germinate prematurely they may get killed in a frost. With patience and hard work suddenly his fields will bloom. Like a savvy farmer, be patient and wait. In the last ten years a lot has been achieved, although that is hidden. The coming decade will bring even more hidden victories.
It is important to know our enemy and know his weakness and his strength. The enemy is Islam. Its weakness is freedom of speech. Its strength is violence. If you manage to remain anonymous and continue speaking without being harmed, you make the enemy helpless. This means victory. If your enemy can’t silence you, you win.

It becomes really difficult
It becomes really difficult for apostates to live in higly Islamised regions. The pressures of confirming to the beliefs held by the majority, when you know that they are a bunch of lies, is extremely difficult as wel as stressful. It can be quite taxing to the human intellect.
The best thing to do is to keep on silent and find others like you. Just Ali Sina said that the closet Apostates must keep on pretending to be closet apostates. Nothing will be achieved by making your beliefs on Islam public.
Just like the wise man once said " the most dangerous enemy is the one you can;'t see." Apostates are the enemies of Islam in hiding and perhaps they will be one of the reasons for the downfall of Islam.

I must admit that i have spoken to quite a few sodi barbarian and kuwaiti christians! They do not discuss any thing at all about this infront of the typical moslems.They trust a non moslem more! A few hundred years from now, we would probably be seeing the demise of all sorts of organised religion. The fact is that Humanism, and agnostic beliefs are fast catching with time.
I understand that there are people living in Asian countries who still need religion to keep themselves going. This could be for a variety of reasons which need not probe into. But I am pretty sure that with the passage of time religions shall cease of exist as we know them today.
The first to fall down hard would be the Islamic Cult, which will fall faster than anything we have seen before. The world is changing rapidly and people are learning the truth like never before.
Sooner than later Islam will fall like a pack of dried leave and noone will stand to collect them.

PK, I don't know many Saudis personally, though I had the misfortune of encountering some of them during my Universtity days. All of them were big time in drugs, booze and gambling. All of them though of Western women as whores and all of them though that Arabs are better Muslims than South Asian Muslims. Infact even the Muslim Student's Union in my Universtity was dominated by the Arabs, especially the Saudis. The Egyptians usually came in the second tier and the Indians and Pakistani Muslims were mostly the people who would do the dirty work of the Arabs.
Pakistani Muslims were treated slighty better than Indian Muslims, which again created a rift between the two. It was all about who is closer to the Saudis.
I was a part of this union for a few months after I joined University. I left it after getting disillusioned by the acts of the so called President of the group, who was involved in a drug scandal.
Sadly the Muslims members came out in his support even after they knew what he had done was wrong. This is the problem, Muslims will support other Muslims even if they know that they are wrong. This is the worst form of tribalism. Usually the Saudis don't give a dammn to tghe South Asian Muslims, unless ofcourse there is somthing that they don't want to do themselves.
Yet South Asain Muslims refuse to learn. They will still keep on licking the feet of the Arabs, thinking they are better Muslims than themselves.
Indian and Pakistani Muslims are complete sellouts, which is a shame.

Islam would have become history a long time ago had the critics of Islam been able to speak their minds. It is the first time that such think has become possible. Islam cannot stand dialogue or scrutiny.
There are some people who naturally gravitate towards evil. They will never leave Islam, or if they do, it will be for something equally evil. These people cannot believe in anything that does not involve hatred of someone else. Hatred is a powerful force that makes one feel alive and gives us motivation. Hatred is not a bad thing per se. It’s just another human emotion. I hate cruelty. That is why I am a vegan. I hate injustice. That is why I am against Islam. But some people hate other people. Islam is a perfect religion for them. However, the majority will leave Islam once they learn the truth about it. People who belong to ideologies that are anti Jew, are naturally attracted to Islam and defend it. They can be leftists or racial supremacists. These people find in Islam an afinity and defend it. The hatred of the Jews is their binding force. They are the ones who generally are attracted to Islam and convert. Of course they will deny that they hate the Jews. But don't buy that bull.

I used to think that way too, but I doubt it now. It could happen in a few thousands of year but not in a few hundreds of years. That is because these religions are adapting to changing times and since they satisfy our spiritual need, they are going to stay. Since the idea of adapting has become acceptable to all religions, they will keep changing faster and keep evolving, perhaps to a unified form of spiritual thinking. Islam is the only religion that cannot adapt and as the result is going to disappear.
Islam is rigid. To keep it standing you have to use force. If Muslims do not get the chance to conquer the world, they will not be able to exert force and as the result Islam will collapse.

Another thing that will help the fast demise of islam is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. At the centre of this conflict is that dirty al aqsa (whatever that mean) mosque. As the situation leads that soon muslims will provoke israel and spark an all-out war similar to that of 1967, this time round al aqsa is not going to stay erect. It will be bombed out by some extremely zealous israeli soldiers and that will be the gravest and the most demoralizing thing to happen in the world of mulsims. Dear Mr. Sina and Dear Ibrahim, I have no doubt to the demise of Islam, we only differ at the pace of its demise. I would be overjoyed to be proven wrong. Just looking at the state of Indian Muslims, it seems a daunting task. Majority of them over produced. This means a majority of them shall remain illiterate. Their slavish attitude towards the muhammad/allah and arabs is very high. They look down upon Indian culture. They lack self esteem and self respect. Then you have the likes of Zakir Niak to keep them bound in islam for eternity. The pseudo secularism in India is another problem, majority of our politicians want them to vote en masse for them and have a vested interest to keep them that way. The likes of these website can reach only a tiny proportion of the targeted audience.We claim to have freedom of speech, but can I say this in any other type of medium than the internet? Hence I differ with the pace.

I differ with Mr. Sina that hate is not bad per se. Hate is a negative thought. Hate cannot conquer hate, only Love can. Feelings of hate may atleast give you mild anger, palpitation and maybe on a long term basis blood pressure. Please bear in mind, I am not a medical doctor. I could be totally wrong.
I know talking of love to a terrorist is not much of use, but I would rather say the nastiest thing in the nicest way.
It would be much better if we did this job as mission/duty towards humanity rather than out of hate.

The age we live now is called 'Kaliyuga' (age of hypocrisy and quarrel). When situation becomes unmanagable, the Brahman will incarnate to uphold Dharma. The concept of positive karma is therefore important for any evolution of conciousness.

Muhammad made Apostasy punishable with death and Muslims are only too happy to carry out his orders even today. I can understand the dilemma of Ismael and the tactful response given to him by Ali Sina which applies to all apostates. What we are witnessing today is unprecedented in history. Apostates are coming out albiet in an anonymous way and reaching out to each other thanks to the Internet. The movement started at FFI is making an impact and is gaining strength with each passing year. If FFI was of no consequence, then why are the big guns coming here and debating? There is still a long way to go because the internet is still a luxury in poor countries. The truth is out and will slowly and steadily reach the common man. There can be no reform in Islam and reforming Islam is like flogging a dead horse. It has to collapse. Now what would mean collapse. It will be the day when Apostates will openly move about without any fear and also many other things. The question is when? I cannot predict a time frame but when it does it will take place suddenly.

I am also hopeful that 21st century is the last century for Islam. Reasons:
1. Earlier no Islam critic was available to the horror of Islam, some fanatic would kill him/ her and they would think that allah has done that. Now we have openly Salman Rushdie, Ayan Hirsi Ali, Ibn Warraq, Wafa Sultan etc telling the truth and also numerous other former muslims like Ali Sina without risking there life are coming up.
2. Few so called moderate muslims in panic are trying to blame almost every one that Taliban, Mullah, this and that doesnt represent Islam. They are coming with there own version of Islam, but the evil seed of Islam is showing its fruits and unfortunately its poisonous, now this hydra shaped evil is un controllable and we have videos , pictures, reactions from muslims and we have proof of its barbarity. We have muslim statistics as Islam makes persons less intelligent with very few exception, who out of fear still say they are muslims but simply say I am non practicing muslim. Lot of mullah issue fatwah to them. One such example is former president of India APJ Abdul Kalam. He never visit a mosque, clearly tells that he reads from Bhagwat Gita, was the first person to inaugrate BAPs hindu temple in Delhi, asks youth to study and aspire to advance in science. Mullahs clearly tell there is no muslim features in him. We all know which features? Lot of intelligent Muslim girls are marrying Hindu and christian boys to save themselves from Islam. This has caused a panic among muslims and some Mullahs have openly stated that if a muslim can marry a non-muslim girl then they will get cash benefit. In britain is (5000 pound). Thus its more of a 'Big Gang of thugs".

In pakistan due to subsequent persecution Hindu, Sikh and Christian population has decreased and thus poverty, illeteracy, sectrarian attacks. Sunnis vs Shia, Pashtu vs punjabi vs sindhi vs balochi, fanatic vs moderate, bearded vs non bearded. western dress vs ethnic, tv viewers vs non tv viewers, against saloons, school teachers, women organisation etc etc the list is going on.
4. Muslims have now started seeing others also with good quality of life like western christian society, japan korea buddhist etc, hindu indians etc.
5. With movies like fitna, obsession and cartoons of there 'hero' they are getting shock therapy. maximum they can do is shout 'death to x' x = jews/america/infedel/western etc etc.
6. For non muslims terrorism = Islam which is true , now ball is in muslims court, but the only cure is liberation from Islam. People are avoiding muslims. Non-muslims are telling there girls that better to marry a snake then a muslim, as snake will instantanously kill you but muslim will make you suffer a continous death.
7. Excess breeding is nothing. Mosquitoes also breed like hell they have never got success to eliminating humans.

I live in Harlem, NYC and daily for the last several years have been witness to the spectacle of ignorance and stupidity that is only getting bigger and bigger in this unfortunate community. I sometimes want to scream out but I know that I might end up lynched. I am friends with Mr. Simon Deng (one of the leading voice for the victims of Muslim violence in Sudan) and he would occassionally voice his frustration in dealing with the African American community. Several times when he was speaking at Sunday church gatherings he had come across accusation of being a Zionist agent or agent of the white people out to tarnish the good name of Muslim Sudan. This coming from Christian Blacks !! This is how far things have degenerated here in Harlem. I am afraid that probably Muslims are the majority among the blacks here. My only way to fight has been reduced to saying NO each time a smartly suited guy approaches me to give me a free copy of Last Call which is a mouth piece of the NOI.
Islam is creeping fast into the black community. Regardless of religion they name their kids with Arabic names and greet each other with Arabic greetings just to be different from the whites. This is the early step towards slippery slope.
